Vintage- MYLU- Jingling, Enameled Tree Bell, Bow Topped Brooch
MYLU was was founded by two sisters, Marge Borofsky and Lynne Gordon. They would sell their jewelry in Gimbles in NYC, and were very successful.
They started with making corsages, but to increase production, they decided to create a line of Christmas jewelry.
This is when they sold their pieces at Filene’s, Gimbles, Penny’s and Montgomery Ward’s catalogues. After 5 years of success, they were acquired by Coro.
This pretty tree shaped bell will make a lovely accessory to wear for the holidays.
It’s an older piece with a pin that extends beyond the clasp.
It has a brushed golden embossed, 3-D stylized bow with a dangling, open metal work, enameled bell, made of green enameled holly leaves and glued Swarovski crystals in raised cups for decorations.
It has a hanging, working, pendulum ringer with a gold plated finish. It does move and jingle when you wear it.
It is 2” long x 1 1/2” at its widest.
It does have a couple of missing gems, but the overall pin is in amazing condition.
