Vintage Made In Mexico MCM Quail Bird Silver Brooch Pin C Clasp J279

I wonder what this old bird would be saying if he could talk? Done in a mid century modern style and sporting an old style C clasp, he’s been around for a long time. Made in Mexico. This brooch is not stamped 925. I am not sure if it is 925 sterling or not but appears to be. Mexican jewelry of this era often used Alpaca silver often too, so that also might be what Mr Quail is made of. Either way, he’s a darling. Please look at the pictures for details and condition.
