Vintage Mamselle Oak Leaf and Acorn Brooch

This beautiful brooch by Mamselle features a brushed gold oak leaf with a small acorn hanging off to the side. The vein detail on the leaf and the stem itself are smooth-polished gold, which catches the light and adds to the design. The brooch is signed, “MAMSELLE”, on a cartouche on the back. Circa 1960’s. The brooch measures 2 3/4″ long and is 1 3/4″ wide. It is in very good vintage condition The Mamselle Jewelry Company was founded by Burleigh Greenberg in 1962. The company was located in Providence, Rhode Island. Greenberg had been an executive for the Brier Manufacturing Company, who produced Little Nemo jewelry, until forming his own company named the B.B. Greenberg Company.
