Vintage Mexican Oaxaca Vintage Huipil Embroidered woven dress 1970’s

The Chinanteco Huipil Dress is a handmade piece of art from the San Felipe Usila area of Oaxaca, Mexico commonly known as the Chinanteca region. This huipil dress tunic is first handwoven on a backstrap loom before it is then embroidered by hand. This unique dress measures approximately 26.5 inches across (armpit to armpit) and is about 36 inches long (from shoulder to hem). This is a vintage item from the 60/70’s, there is a little coloration drop with the yellow as shown in photos but when on it looks part of the design.
