Vintage Mexico Alpaca Inlaid Abalone Shell Bracelet 6 1/2 Inches

This charming vintage bracelet from Mexico is constructed with alpaca "silver". Alpaca is not actually silver, it is a mix of copper, tin and nickel. Mexican and South American artisans have a tradition of working with alpaca because of its durability and resistance to tarnish, which makes it especially useful for inlay work. This bracelet features a traditional flower design in white shell against a gorgeous multicolor abalone shell background. The closure is a simple hook and loop.
