Vintage Micro Mosaic Booch

This lovely vintage brooch is a micro mosaic brooch. Micro-mosaics are tiny paintings created with tiny pieces of glass called tesserae making up a image design or scene. This piece has a lovely multi colored floral bouquet all made of up of tiny tiles of hand made glass. The floral bouquet is in colors of reds, greens, blues, yellows, white and brown on a background of pale celadon green, very pretty! The mosaic is framed in a rich gold setting with a beaded border. The back has a clasp that is designed like a safety pin.
