Vintage Mid Century Beetleware Art Deco Salt Peppe

Industrial plastics era "Beetleware" salt and pepper shakers in orange and green. Classical pedestal design. Beetleware was developed by British plastics designer, Albert Henry Woodfull in the late 1940's as a Bakelite substitute that would not fade in color. These shakers are 3 1/2" high and have a screw-off top for filling. They are marked on the bottom, under the pedestal. Rare pattern.
