Vintage Mid Century California Original Pottery Ashtray, Atomic Faux Teak Wood

Vintage Mid Century California Original Pottery Ashtray, Atomic Faux Teak Wood Fantastic MCM mid-century modern USA crafted pottery ashtray with a faux teak wood finish. Marked as California Originals number 373, made in USA. This would have been used in the 1960s through 70s, originally as a central ashtray, probably on the coffee table, for a group of people to use. It is quite large, measuring almost 12 inches across. A wonderful "atomic age" organic shape, with a glaze that was intended to look like carved teak wood. The glaze does have some wear from age in parts of the bowl (see photos), but there are no chips or cracks and it is in excellent condition considering its age and use.
