Vintage Military Wool Pants

Please see photos for condition and style. Appears they were originally button fly and were altered with a zipper. Small hole my pinky fit into through top wool layer only. Additional stitching to possibly fix another area on same left pocket side. If I am reading the tag correctly they were made in July of 1960. Please let me know if I am incorrect. Most of the measurements are shown in photos. Inseam is 29” approximately.
