There is writing on the unique pincher type closure ( pic 12 for a closeup) looks like a pat number on one side . Weighs 46 grams on my kitchen scale which is 1.62 ounces . Would make a great addition to a layering of other gold tone necklaces ..this chain would be closer to your neck as worn by the dress form in pictures above. Gradient in that the chain thickness gets smaller at it wraps up around your neck... so the bottom chain is a lot thicker compared to the chain near the closure. Mob wife , elegant, versatile piece dress it up or wear to the office under a collared shirt .
