Vintage Morpho Butterfly Wing Pendant with Greek or Roman Woman

This stunning butterfly wing pendant is a unique vintage piece. It features a glass dome showcasing a reverse-sulfide image of an ancient Greek or Roman woman holding a bowl up to her mouth. The glass encases a real Blue Morpho butterfly wing, which reflects an intense teal blue, indigo blue, or faded purple hue depending on the light. The pendant is made of sterling silver and stamped with "England Sterling" on the back, likely crafted by Thomas Mott or Shipton Co. The pendant is in good preloved condition, with some normal age wear and darkened patina. At the top of the pendant, there is a flower and a loop that can fit almost any size chain. The pendant measures 1.25" in total and comes from a smoke-free home.
