Vintage Mother of Pearl & Abalone Compact Unused

This Pilcher Compact has never been used. Neither the loose powder tray or puff show any signs of use or powder residue. It does appear that the gilt lettering on the puff back has bled a little or it could be an outline. It is 3” square. Please note the darker scratches where the lacquer finish has been scratched and allowing the silver to tarnish. I’m hoping it is silver plated and not sterling as it is not marked.
