Wedgwood Vintage Mug Charles Dickens Illustrated Stories by Adams England

This real English ironstone mug is unusual as it is faceted having sides. The mug features two scenes from Dickens work, one on each side. The bottom is marked "Illustrations from Dickens Made in Great Britain" and "Adams Estbd 1657 England." The bottom also identifies the two illustrations as "Then Marchioness said Mr Swiveller fire away!" and "Old Weller ducking Stiggings in the horse trough." The bottom backstamp dates from 1966 when Adams became part of the Wedgwood Group in England. Very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks It stands approximately 4.25" high Weight: 12.3 oz.
