Vintage Munising Wooden Maple Bowl Made in Michigan

Made of maple wood, this is a beautifully preserved medium bowl. The shape is slightly warped from years of use, adding to the charm and character of the bowl. One area on bowl is discolored from having a piece of tape stuck to it. See pic. This bowl is a lovely example of rustic farmhouse decor which would make a stunning fruit bowl or centrepiece. Condition: It is in good vintage condition with no cracks - rare for a vintage wooden bowl. It was machine-lathed from a solid piece of maple wood. The wood has developed a lovely patina with a rich depth of colour from years of use. Deep signs of age and wear make this is a unique rustic piece. Munising bowls are vintage wood bowls that were manufactured in Upper Peninsula, Michigan, by Munising Wood Products. The factory operated in its namesake town from 1911 to 1955. You can distinguish authentic bowls because they're carved as one piece from a log.
