Vintage NILOAK Pottery in Green made of fine-grade clay found near Benton, AR

This Unique Vintage Pottery was made in the years from 1909 until 1946. Niloak is a popular American Art Pottery that was created in Benton (Saline County) by the Eagle Pottery Company. Niloak is best known in the pottery world for its unique Mission-swirl design, but the company in later years produced two other lines, Hywood Art Pottery and the Hywood by Niloak. The name “Niloak” is the word “kaolin” spelled backward. Kaolin is a type of fine-grade clay found near Benton and used in production. This particular piece is a very modern style, for its time, in a beautiful Sea Foam Green. It stands appropriately 6-1/8" in Height, 6-1/4" Wide, 4-1/4" Across, 5-3/4" in Depth, and the Base is 3-1/4" in Diameter.
