This gorgeous black velvet carpet bag dates to the 1950s. It measures approximately 13 inches tall and is approximately 16 inches across the bottom. The top has a smaller opening of just under 11 inches. It is adorned with nine multicolored needlepoint flowers/pansies. Each flower is outlined with tiny beads, while the centers are each decorated with different colored rhinestones. The bag has a brown Bakelite handle with a matching Bakelite kiss clasp. The inside is lined with black felt. It is in meticulous beautiful condition and comes from a smoke free environment.
