This Northwestern Terra Cotta Co. charging elephant is a snapshot in time. It has the stamp of the company and has withstood the test of time.
The original Denver Terra Cotta Company was founded in the early 1910s by employee George Fackt of St Louis Terra Cotta. It was later acquired by Chicago's Northwestern Terra Cotta in 1924. Northwestern also established a St Louis plant around the same time, but Northwestern-Denver was the last to shut down in 1965.
The elephant is in great vintage condition. There are a few small imperfections from wear, such as chipped corners on the base, small chips on the front base, and a chipped ear. Please see photos for details.
Note: this is a vintage item and will have wear. There may be missed imperfections or damage.
