@sarahcotcamproe see last photo for article on brand. Yes, they do tarnish. In the earlier years, authentic silverware are made w 93% silver and 7% copper because silver is too soft to be made into flatware. The combo of copper makes it stiffer. The oxidizing of copper is what makes it tarnish. As copper got more expensive , newer silverware are made with other combo like stainless steel or plated with another metal.
