Vintage Orange Chalcedony Hand Carved - Playful Elephants 4” Tall Sculpture

Orange chalcedony is a semi-precious gemstone that's a type of microcrystalline quartz. It's a crystalline form of quartz that comes in many colors, patterns, and forms. Orange chalcedony is similar to carnelian, but is bright orange and it has a hardness of 6.5-7.0 on the Mohs scale. Exquisitely hand carved with amazing details on these 2 young elephants playfully engaged with each other on raised footing. Original purchased in the late 1970’s in Singapore.
