Absolutely stunning vintage Panetta choker. It’s 16 inches long, kind of hard to measure because it is permanently formed to curve. The matching bracelet is 6.5 inches long. They both have the locking safety clasps. This is very high-quality costume jewelry. Made to look like pink sapphires and diamonds. The choker still has the price tag on it, I’m not sure from where. It does say Panetta on it. It’s in beautiful condition and you can tell it’s never been worn. Still looks shiny and new. More than likely from the 50s. The Panetta company of New York was founded in 1945 by Beneditto Panetta. An Italian immigrant, he had been a jeweler in his former home of Naples, Italy. Panetta jewellery is very collectable due to the fine quality, attention to detail and the limited numbers produced.
