The author is the founder and pioneer of logotherapy, also known as existential analysis. He has written numerous books that have been translated into multiple languages, selling millions of copies worldwide. After enduring three harrowing years in Auschwitz and other Nazi concentration camps, Dr. Frankl was liberated at the end of the war, only to discover that nearly his entire family had perished. However, through the immense suffering and profound challenges of those years, he conceived and developed the principles of logotherapy. In the book's preface, Harvard University's Gordon Allport describes it as "an introduction to the most significant psychological movement of our time." Frankl's theory stands out as one of the most groundbreaking since the contributions of Freud and Adler.
