Vintage Persian hand painted medallion necklace sterling

Beautiful vintage Persian painted medallion necklace. This is circa 1920’s-1930’s and is hand prong set in Sterling. Multiple colors of swallow style birds in one side, then on the reverse is this painted Arabic Persian motif. These necklaces were painted to tell a story and each medallion is an artisan created piece with no two alike. This medallion is on an interlocking small chain silver necklace which has no clasp. This is an over the head an on piece. Acquired at an estate sale over 30 years ago and ready for its new fashionista.
