Vintage Peter Max kaleidoscope Cosmic Kaleidoscope

From the Max Studio Archives, a rare, limited-edition, vintage Peter Max kaleidoscope from 1989. This unique object is adorned with Max's iconic, bold-color, cosmic art of sun rays, birds, stars, smiling profiles, sailboats, runners and dynamic geometric shapes, or what the artist calls 'zooples.' Peer inside and turn the barrel to find more Max art on a printed disc with beads and marbles - creating a 'psychedelic light show' in your hands. Printed with Peter Max signature and date from Gemini Kaleidoscopes, handcrafted in the U.S.A. with red protective tube. One Kaleidoscope and protective tube per order. The shiny covered, cardboard body (barrel) , is in excellent condition, with tiny scrapes on the image end (see pics). The optics are amazing and colorful, as shown in the photo which I took thru the Kaleidoscope lens. The Kaleidoscope measures 9” long, and 1-3/4” in diameter at the optic end. The now defunct Gemini Co. of Zelienople, PA was the manufacturer. As a note of interest, per “The Max Collector “ website, just 500 of these PMK’s were produced (again, per website).
