Image depicts a dressed-up little girl and her younger brother standing on sheepskins in, presumably, a studio. The cardboard mount, with rounded corners, has the photographer’s stamp "Cheney" pressed into it, directly under the pasted photograph. This type of card was typically made from 1870 to the early 1900s. There are several early photographers with the name “Cheney,” and it would require more time than I have to research which one may have taken this shot. Captivating!
