Vintage Polo Ralph Lauren Tyler Chambray Pleated Wide shorts mens 34 icy blue

Here we have a fairly unique pair of shorts from vintage Polo RL. They’re the “Tyler” model, which routinely was made with a wide leg and higher rise (12.5in.), a perfect breezy fit for summer’s heat. Ralph Lauren manufactured this fit in many interesting fabrics—this fabric in particular is a 100% cotton chambray fabric, which is normally found on work shirts. Chambray is a lightweight, breathable fabric in the denim family, but without the heft of denim. The chambray has a slubby texture in an icy blue color. Other features on the shorts are the signature double forward pleats, belt loops, and jetted buttoned back pockets, with slant pockets and a zip fly. I’ve styled it here in an Ivy style and western fit, both with the unassuming boat shoes. Double “denim” is a good pairing, but this can also work with a rugby, a polo, or a regular button up.
