Vintage Portuguese Majolica Pottery Set of 4 Artichoke Plates diametar 8.5"

In excellent vintage condition, one Vintage Portuguese Majolica Pottery Set of 4 Artichoke Plates diametar 8.5". No chips, cracks or crazing. A crafting imperfections mostly on the bottom part, documented in the photos and the vide. A wonderful set of 2 Portuguese majolica artichoke plates made in Portugal in the late 1970’s to early 1980’s for William Sonoma, San Francisco These plates have a very beautiful creamy and semi translucent glaze which really highlights the beautiful crisp artichoke flower and leaf design. The plates features sauce or mayonnaise cups in a “kidney bean” shape at the bottom of the circular artichoke bowl decorated with an artichoke flower. The sides of the plates are festooned with artichoke leaves. The plate is approximately 8.5“ wide and 1” tall. The plates are in very good vintage condition with only some minor manufacturing glaze skips and dimples which make them all the more wonderful! No chips or cracks. minor crazing noted in glaze. This is a hand made pottery item and has small irregularities in the glaze such as small bubbles, glaze skips, where the glaze doesn’t completely cover the clay or little specs in the clay and/or glaze!
