Vintage~ Pyrex Terra pattern- large platter

This is a vintage, preowned Pyrex platter/charger/chop plate. It measures 12" across and has a depth of about 1". It has surface scratches from age and use but presents well. Because of it's short run it is a very desirable piece! *Date Introduced 1964 *Manufactured dates 1964 to 1965 *Designer William Curtis *Interesting facts- Terra, meant to mimic the look of earthenware, is one of the most unique designs ever released on opal Pyrex. William Curtis, the designer of the Terra pattern, won an award for his concept. Terra was the first pattern released on both ovenware and tableware. The production cost and shelf cost of Terra proved to be too high and was discontinued after only one year on the market.
