Vintage Ralph Lauren Scottie Dog sweater L

This is the original RALPH label Scottie dog sweater from the very early 90’s in size large but does run small. This sweater inspired later versions which were longer and produced for the “Lauren Ralph Lauren” label. The RALPH Ralph Lauren label was retired in the mid 90’s and replaced with the more mainstream Lauren Ralph Lauren label. This sweater has a great cropped shape, and Fairisle, Nordic, Ski Lodge sensibility. The navy hand knit ground is accented with off white and dark red and features the RL initials on the lower front. The ribbed turtleneck and left shoulder features 4 decorative metal shank buttons. This is a nice chunky knit with ribbed sleeve and bottom hem. Care: Dry Clean Only Fiber Content: 50%Wool, 30% Cotton, 20% Linen. Measures approximately 18" underarm to underarm, shoulder to hem is about 19". This was purchased by me in the late 80's, early 90's from Macy's.
