School of Cantini.. Both Lucille and Virgil Cantoni created exquisite enamel jewelry and mosaics. Mid Century 1960's-1970's This is a Round Enamel on Copper Pin/brooch by Lucille or Virgil Cantini It is enamel on copper. The face of pin (flower side) is in pristine condition. The reverse side displays signature Cantini with C Clasp Locking Bar (the pin part) is tarnished with age (see Photos) This is a one of a kind green flowers and foliage on sky blue background. Overall Pin is Approx 1 5/8" Diameter X 1/8" Deep Note: Lucille Cantini was the wife of noted Pittsburgh, PA , sculptor, enamel and mosaic artist Virgil Cantini. They met as art students at Carnegie Tech, now Carnegie Mellon University. I grew up in Pittsburgh and studied at Carnegie Tech, it was a big deal when the Cantinis sold new offerings in the little village of Shadyside, everything was snapped up quickly.
