This MacKenzie-Childs hand-crafted ceramic pitcher has been decorated in the company's classic Keukenhof pattern. This retired pattern is part of the Taylor Series and is named after the famed Keukenhof Gardens. The Taylor series was the original Mackenzie-Childs dinnerware collection, and its patterns were designed to be mixed. This particular motif incorporates waves and lattice with dotted floral designs in gorgeous hues of pink, yellow, orange, green, blue, and purple. The pitcher is nicely sized for serving beverages or used as a vase.
The pitcher is in excellent UNUSED condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. Its original sticker is present under the handle. There is normal shelf wear to the foot. The pitcher stands 8.25" tall and is 6.5" from the front of the spout to the back of the handle. The body is 5" across at its widest point. The foot is 2.5" in diameter and bears the impressions of the 1983-1998 MacKenzie-Childs mark and "1998” next to the creator’s initials “XX." The piece also bears ink stamps with the decorator’s initial "C” and a blurry, barely visible, ink stamp that appears to have read “Keukenhof” prior to firing. The pitcher weighs 1lb 8oz.
This pitcher displays beautifully whether showcased alone or as a worthy addition to any MacKenzie-Childs Taylor tablescape. It is a rare and wonderful vintage find!
