Vintage (Rare) Silkworm Cocoon Clutch Purse

The rare, vintage silkworm cocoon clutch purse is probably from 1940s. It was given to me by an elderly Japanese friend in the 80s because I admired it. Sadly, it has just been in storage all these years and it is too beautiful to not be admired by someone else now. It measures 12" wide, 6" tall, 1.5" deep. There is a place where you could affix a chain shoulder strap, but it is not included. There is a small red blemish on the inside, most likely a lipstick mark. There are no tags so show designer/manufacturing info. The clasp hardware is silver tone with black. Overall this clutch is in beautiful, gently used condition and would make an excellent, unique addition to someone's purse collection!
