Vintage Red Hat Society Brooch

In 1998, the Red Hat Society for women was formed. Short story: a woman walked into a thrift store, red and purple clothing/hat caught her attention. She proceeded to buy them and then very publicly decreed that all women, of all ages, can wear these colors up to and past the age of 50. Cool story. This beautiful brooch is in pristine condition.
