Vintage Red Shibori Takekago Bamboo Basket Kinchaku Drawstring Handbag Pouch

A well cared for and looks like never used, Gorgeous red textured crepe ( madder shibori ) fabric featuring a drawstring top with red knotted cording atop a lovely dark bamboo basket weave base -that is artfully done. Beautifully sewn!! A peach color raw silk interior lining… a few glue tiny spots noticed but that is due to construction. NO flaws on any of it inside and out = MINT condition!! A stunning handbag - traditionally worn with kimono 👘. This can even be a sculptural decor item in any Asian / Japanese / Chinoiserie interior design for home, office, fashion studio, restaurant, etc!! Most of these were produced in the 1980s in Kyoto … own a piece of vintage Japanese style with this fine item! A rare find stateside at a recent local estate sale.
