Vintage Red and White Resin Scallop Seashell Necklace - Silver Tone Settings and Chain - 15” Charming vintage necklace with alternating red and white resin scallop seashell shaped beads. Features lovely silver settings with silver-tone curved shapes that secures the seashells. Strong silver tone link-connectors attach the nine settings. Hook and chain closure allows decreasing to less than 15”. JEWELRY HACKS: With a little DIY from a craft store, chains can be removed and lengthened for today’s longer 18-20” size. Alternatively, chains could be removed and add a bracelet clasp for a lovely vintage bracelet. Beautiful shiny silver tone settings (perhaps coated resin?) and very clean seashells. Chain shows some tarnish and antique aging (see photos). Silver ball at back of necklace on chain is wood with silver paint that has some chipping. I received this in the 1970s when my Great-Aunt passed but never wore. Classic vintage seashore chic style that can be worn individually or layered with chains or other beads. Stored with my jewelry collection in containers for many years; has had moisture packets throughout. Comes from a pet free/smoke free home.
