Vintage Resistol 4x cattleman cowboy hat. Color is chocolate brown. Pictures were taken in direct sunlight and not color adjusted. Felt is amazing. Hat is not stiff like a lot of modern hats. The vintage 4x felt is easily the same quality of modern 6x or 7x hats that I have examined. Crown in 4.5” tall (middle of crease) Brim is 4” Brim is bound. Leather sweatband and leather hat band. Size is likely a 7 3/8 (59), but I placed two foam hat sizing strips on the back side of the sweatband. With the two strips it fits me, a 7 1/8 (57), and with one strip in it would likely fit a 7 1/4 (58). I will leave strips attached. The hat was recently cleaned and shaped at Rod’s Western Palace in Columbus, Ohio, by a professional. Year of make is unknown, but probably very early nineties or nineteen eighties. Hat has a lot of life left in it. Case not included.
