Does this unit work? Are the rollers rods only?

Yes, it comes on & heats up. I did not put the salt & water in though. Yes, it is rods only - the foam has come off with age, but I've seen where that can be replaced at a beauty supply store/Walmart if you want the foam. LMK if you have any other questions. Thanks!

I owned this best thing ever. my hair wouldn't hold curls for anything. the only thing that would curl and keep curls. don't ever know what happened to it. best ever!
