Vintage Richelieu Pearl Necklace. 16 inches. Pearls are 10MM in size. Color of Pearl is white. Clasp and other metal findings are gold plated. Necklace design also incorporates rhinestones and simulated emeralds. The pearls are artificial made by painting glass beads with many coats of ground fish scales. Vintage, circa 1960s. This necklace is in excellent condition. This piece is signed.

djocunningham Absolutely free of flaws. I seriously doubt they were ever worn. They were given to me in a batch of miscellaneous jewelry from “Out of the Box,” a shop in Annapolis Maryland. History of these pearls is partly a mystery. Best, Jo
