Brand: William A. Rogers - Oneida, makers mark stamped on back Forks: These elegant forks are not dinner forks, but are called “Grille” or “Viande” forks, introduced in the 1930s. Grille forks became especially popular due to their elongated shape which was considered particularly sophisticated at that time. Pattern: Meadowbrook The Meadowbrook pattern was introduced in 1936 and was later discontinued. The heart-shaped leaves run on both sides of the handle. The natural vintage look of this pattern can complement a variety of dining decor styles. Size: These eight Grille / Viande forks are approximately 7.5 inches long each. Condition: This silverware is sold as is. No cleaning or polishing products were used after we received the silverware from an estate. Cleaning, if desired, will be left to the buyer. The pieces show signs of use consistent with preowned items of similar age. Areas of minor spots, scratching, and swirling from previous polishing are evident of preowned use. There is also tarnish on each of the items, especially noticeable on the tips of the tines. Please see photos.
