Loewy Made in Germany Date of manufacture: early 1950s Set Pieces of this listing: Gravy Boat with attached underplate (In German: “Sauciere”) Very clean exterior and interior of high gloss glazed finish over ceramic/porcelain China . No visible stains. No cracks and only a single small chip along rim of top edge (see image with pencil point for scale). Color on exterior is very uniform and bright without any visible scratches. Platinum trim line and print graphic are very uniform and very good condition. Stamp on base is very clear with legible graphic. See images with ruler for scale. Original product data denotes this piece as: (part of) 12 person (setting), (capacity) .54 Liter, retail cost in 1955 Deutschmark for this piece new conversion to about $40 in today’s US Dollars. This piece comes from set by one owner who was stationed in Germany during postwar occupation.
