Vintage Rozae Nichols Sheer Black Silk Dress with Sparkly Embossed Patterns Y2K

Delicate sheer black silk chiffon bias cut dress from Los Angeles-based designer Rozae Nichols from late 1990s. Delicate embossed matte metallic silver dots decorate the neckline and are scattered across the chest. The dress design harkens 1940's silk chiffon dresses in styling. This could be layered over a black or nude slip for a soft, feminine look. Size small. Excellent pre-owned condition. This dress was stored in a garment bag in a smoke-free household. Nichols was known for her lovely feminine designs featuring layered silks, jersey and delicate textured fabrics. Her tailoring is impeccable, using bias cut techniques but draping the body in a thoroughly modern way.
