Vintage STAUER Sterling Silver Vermeil Helenite Tennis Bracelet

From the STAUER website..... From great chaos emerged a stunning American beauty… When Mount Saint Helen’s erupted on May 18, 1980, it burned over 230 square miles of land in the Pacific Northwest. The swath of destruction left in its wake was unexpected. But what it yielded in the aftermath was even more surprising. When cleaning after the eruption, it was accidentally discovered that, when heated, the elements in the volcanic rock would fuse to form a rich, deep green, similar to an emerald. The process was later perfected in strict lab conditions to achieve magnificent deep green helenite, “America’s emerald.” From the company, may I offer this Sterling Silver (hallmarked as pictured) tennis bracelet covered in a light gold vermeil. Measuring 8" end to end (7-3/4" approx wearable) x 1/4" wide, the bracelet has a weight of 14.1 grams. Set with sixteen 5X7MM pear cut Helenite gems, the green stones weigh a combined 10.5CTW; there are also sixteen 4MM faceted round "Ultimate Diamond Alternative™, Diamond Aura®" gems that weigh a total of 4CTW. Tongue-in clasp closure with 2 side safety latches for added security. Beautiful bracelet with nice fluidity - the green color is certainly eye popping. According to the website, retail on the piece is $595. OUCH!!!!! Well, I think I can do a little better!
