Vintage Sammy Wong Imports 60s Wool Blend Beaded Tunic Kaftan Dinner Party

Questions? Leave a comment below! This is an absolutely gorgeous kaftan tunic top that is heavily beaded on the mandarin collar, cuffs, and a stripe down the front. Concealed zipper down back with hook and eye on mandarin style collar. Darts. Lined. Made of 30% polyester and 70% wool. Lining is 100% Rayon. The shade is a coral orange. The fabric was made in Japan and the top was made of that fabric in British Hong Kong. See photo for small spot on front of top. See photos for condition of inside of collar. It appears somewhat stained and worn. The outside of the collar is gorgeous! Very well made. I’m estimating the date of the piece to be 60s. I envision a woman wearing it to a dinner party in the 60s. Size is a 12. Please keep in mind that vintage sizing is often smaller than current sizing. I recommend comparing measurements to one of your own tops. This top has no stretch. Approximate measurements are in photos.
