@t_fontenot Lucky you!! After years of searching, I've only found 1 pair of earrings and the ring, neither of which were for sale. The earrings, as you probably already know, are signed. Please see the last 2 images of this listing...I believe that the earrings are the only component of the suite that had a signature.
I have to check my books to see which one featured the necklace.

This necklace is beautiful. I hope you don't mind me commenting on this, but I have a bracelet not exactly the same, but it has the faux star sapphire, blue rhinestones, and same color metal/double chains. Someone mentioned Kafin, but I would like to know what books I might buy to ID this piece to rule out other makers (like Schiaparelli)

@mostly__vintage Hello.
I appreciate your comment.
This necklace is part of a suite by the House of Schiaparelli. If you look closely, the last images are of the matching earrings and ring. The smaller clip earrings are signed. The necklace was not signed, not was the bracelet. If you're feeling adventurous, Google Schiaparelli faux sapphire jewelry, and select images. You'll find the provenance for this gorgeous piece.

@mostly__vintage ...as far as books... I'd recommend Jewels of Fantasy by Deanna F. Cera, Costume Jewelry by Judith Miller, Jewelry Box vol 1-3 by Ann Pitman... Costume Jewelers, The Golden Age of Design, by J D Ball... Costume Jewelry by Brown... these are a good start.
Libraries are priceless, as is the web. Many of the Houses used the same manufacturer, so similarities exist, but the jewelry language of Schiaparelli was unique.

@mostly__vintage Also.
the Kafin set is similar in stone only. The metal is clearly from a later era. The dangle is modernist, the double connected links are also modern.
There is a rhodium type plating that is a dead giveaway to it's relative modernity.
Elsa had distinct chains, dangles and motifs that were exclusive to her alone.
Kafin copied Elsa decades after she pioneered the look.

@luxecollectible Thanks for this information. I never thought to check out the library - I shall have to take a look at my local ones. I wonder whether if I send you a picture, you could take a look at my bracelet to see what your thoughts are on it? Thanks again!

@pyegirl2 Lucky you! Treasure it. These early pieces are becoming more and more scarce. To own a Schiaparelli is to own a piece of fashion history. My best to you. Happy Poshing!

Why do you have the necklace listed but not for sale? Did you sell the necklace or still have it?
