Vintage Scrimshaw Look Lobster Crustacean Pin Brooch Artisan Signed Unique Rare

Beautifully detailed artisan signed scrimshaw style pin featuring a lobster. Part of a collection of nautical vintage jewelry purchased from estate sale decades ago. Never worn only stored since acquisition. Removed from plain paper mounting to photograph. Not an expert on this artform or jewelry. Believe the marking under the lobsters tentacles is the makers mark, initial or signature. Cannot find another similar example to determine the age of the jewelry or the artist. Very finely detailed. Sized at approximately 1 3/8” x 1” Some surface spotting on the reverse side below the clasp bar. Lightly wiped - no aggressive, cleaning or chemicals used up to the buyer to consider more intense cleaning or polishing if desired. Lightly wiped only as not to threaten artist work. Great piece for the malacostracans collection or collector of unique finely detailed artisan work. Could have unisex wear applications and appeal. See pictures for details and measurements.
