Vintage Shield Brooch

A shiny silver tone textured snowflake shape is set with a shield design. The shield is gray and white enamel. Shows a horse, a cannon and two other shapes in a black background. I really have no information on this brooch. It’s heavy and very well made. Stamped with a patent number in the back. No other marks found. If you know what it’s about, let me know. Or if you just love the design and need it-it’s in excellent condition and waiting for you. Define a unisex item.
