Vintage Signed Fretz Sterling Silver Modernist Abstract Jasper Cabochon Pendant

Vintage Circa 1970s Signed FRETZ Sterling Silver 925 Modernist Abstract Pendant with a Bezel Set Dark Red Jasper Cabochon. Could this be an early piece from the famous jewelry artist Bill Fretz? On close inspection the Jasper gemstone appears to possibly be petrified dinosaur bone, although the origin of the stone is unknown. This spectacular Artisan handmade piece of collectible jewelry measures approx 3 1/2 inches tall x 3 inches wide. I hand-polished the piece from its blackened aged condition to a soft silver glow. There are a few areas on the silver where the dark oxidation still appears, but the piece is complete, solid and in excellent shape.
