Vintage Smithsonian Necklace Bracelet Set Orange Agate? Carnelian? Brass barrel

I have a beautiful, vintage, knotted necklace and bracelet set from the Smithsonian. They have orange stone barrel beads that I was told were sunstone but they look more like agate or possibly carnelian to me. They are very high quality. They come in their original boxes.
