Rare Vintage 40s-50s Stacy Adams Suede & Calf Leather Alligator Grain Brown Derby Shoes Sz 7. These shoes are quite rare and were probably very expensive when purchased. They were possibly crafted in the 1940s-50s but NOT to be compared to Stacy Adams shoes of today. Solid construction and craftsmanship by masters of the trade during the early/mid 20th century. Uppers are in great vintage condition with minor scuffs on the alligator grain trim. Suede uppers are rich expresso brown trimmed by oxblood alligator grain calf leather. They could almost be described as subtle Spectators with the 2 colors of leather on the uppers. Some fraying on the laces but those can be replaced. Original stitched soles and rubber heel caps over wooden heels, both show normal signs of wear. Interior of the shoes are all leather. Approximate measurements: Outsole length, heel to toe...11 7/8” (Note: I would subtract at least 1 1/2” from the length due to pointed toe) Width at ball of foot...3 5/8” Heel height...1” NOTE: The leather outsole extends approx. 3/16” around shoe vamp, which adds overall measurement to length and width, however, decreases the foot space in the insole. ***Attention should be given to listed measurements to ensure proper fit, as vintage shoes are often smaller than current shoe sizes.
