Vintage Sterling Abalone and Marcasite Link Bracelet, Mexican, Smooth, Heavy

Sterling bracelet with smooth bezel-set abalone oval links alternating with pillow-shaped links each set with 15 marcasite stones amidst a textured field of tiny silver dots for a vaguely art deco style. A total of 4x small marcasite stones are missing from the 8 marcasite and sterling links; this flaw does not stand out but an astute collector might want to replace the stones for posterity. Needs gentle polishing, but overall in very nice condition. The abalone is creamy and smooth, with lots of movement in the pattern and one flea-bite natural flaw that appears darker (see pics) but possibly could be polished out. Bracelet links are well hinged and flow smoothly around the wrist so it sits comfortably and substantively when worn. Very good looking and viable. The secure safety catch bar links over small post to back up the solid slide-in clasp. The bracelet has sweet workmanship details like a heart cut-out on the back of the clasp and a diamond-textured clasp post that demonstrate fine craftsmanship. Wearable size is 6-1/2 " with clasp closed. Bracelet is marked "925" on the back.
