Vintage Tailor Made Vintage Dress Coat with Mink Collar 1950’s 1960’s

This is a GORGEOUS vintage coat. Top quality materials Tailor made for original owner (see the last 2 photos that show the hand cut and stitched materials, facing, etc. The white mink collar had yellowed. (I am 99% sure it is mink given the texture of the fur and quality of the rest of the materials). The remainder of the jacket is in pristine condition. No fabric tag but it is a wool or possible wool cashmere blend given the softness Tailored fit Darted bust AND SLEEVES which I had never seen before. Luxurious satin lining 3 buttons and a invisible snap close Collar has 2 hook and eyes that can lift the fur around the neck. Tailor was Philipsborn, part of the Historical Society in Washington DC and without doubt this was the coat of a socialite! Armpit to armpit is approximately 19” Waist is approximately 17 1/2” Sleeve Inseam (underside of sleeve) is approximately 14” Length of coat is approximately 38” All measurements are taken from the outside. Compared to other coats on my mannequin I would say this fits like a size 2-4 but use the actual measurements as your guide. Any questions please ask. Weight is approximately 4lb - 5lbs so this cannot be bundled with any other item because of shipping weight restrictions.
